Located in southern Louisiana, Hanko’s Metal Works Inc. is a custom aluminum boat builder. HMW was started in 1985 building small recreational aluminum boats for the local community.
The family owned and operated company philosophy has always been quality and customer satisfaction. This ideology of boat building flourished as satisfied customers informed others of the great buying experience, value and boat performance. Before the internet; word of mouth became HMW’s best advertising avenue which spread into the commercial industries. The size of the boats ordered grew exponentially with time and the company grew out of the 1st and 2nd facility.
In 2007 the company built a first class 34,300 square foot boat building factory. The new building was designed to improve boat production with separate shops for fabrication, rigging & outfitting, outboard mechanical work, and painting. We have a combined 372 years of working experience and have enjoyed over 30 years of successful boat building with thousands of satisfied customers. We are a family owned and operated.
We offer a large variety of boats such as: shallow water flat bottom bateaus, smooth riding Performance V hulls, Lift series padded hulls, flat and V bottom workboats and custom built barges.
