  • My son Keith McRae just harvested a deer in Stanly county with a sinew and rawhide backed self bow. The bow is made from eastern red cedar and the arrows are river cane with wild turkey feathers and obsidian point hafted with pine pitch and sinew. The bow is styled after the eastern woodland Indians, it is 64' long, and draws 64 lbs. at 29'.
