My 2018 South Carolina low country buck which we called ââ¬ÅTHE 9ââ¬Â. What a roller coaster ride this buck has given us. For 5 yrs we have chased this Monarch, he is the oldest and hardest buck we have ever chased. Year after year, so many pictures, he was a nocturnal buck and a couple of daylight pics throughout the year. Itââ¬â¢s bitter sweet, I am sad to see him go but on the other hand happy to have had the chance to chase him, I am truly blessed and grateful. I want to thank my awesome and beautiful wife that allowed me to hunt her favorite spot in the swamp on her afternoon hunt ðŸËâ° after she took her beautiful velvet buck! What an unforgettable weekend, just epic! .
My name is Mayte Espinel and I decided to hunt the swamp that evening, due to swirling winds i put down my bow and brought out my 300 win mag. I traveled alone to the deep swamp and waited.
Iââ¬â¢ve been waiting on a specific buck which we called ââ¬Åthe nineââ¬Â for 5 years (who my husband harvested the next evening), but when I saw those beautiful velvet antlers I couldn't pass it up. I dropped him right on the corn pile with a perfect neck shot. I am ecstatic I was able to take this animal in a very short time.
