  • Hey guys I am new to this forum. I am moving to Fort Bragg in November from Fort Hood, TX. I am big into hog hunting down here and hoping to get some in NC. I have found a possible lease in Columbus County for a really good price, even though it is archery only. I have posted some map pics to see what you guys think if hogs would be on the property. I don't know what hogs like for land in NC, could be completely different from TX. I would set up a timed feeder and occasionally dig some 2 foot deep holes to place some soured corn in to attract them and keep them busy for a while. Looking forward to your guys' advice.

I got your email yesterday and replied via a PM through this site. Those are some great looking hogs. I would love to take you up on your offer. PM me back if you want to discuss things further.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm glad to hear that there is a pretty good possibility of hogs on this lease. This lease stuck out to me because of the drainage/draw. I am a deer hunter also, but I like to hunt year round so when my deer tags are used up I continue with hogs. Plus all the hogs down here in TX have a tendency to run the deer off from the feeders and some never come back. I assume your talking about killing two hogs along the line of corn, not snakes. But I must ask, when you do come across snakes, do you kill them or leave them be?
