I caught this bass after fishing for her for two days. I would leave her alone and go catch other bass but I knew she was the biggest I have ever seen on the bed. I found a rod in the water ten yards away in a bush which goes to show you how remote this area was and none of the tournament fisherman could even get to this bass. Although, using a tiller handle jon boat and skimming the banks paid off because the rod I found had braided line and was a Team Daiwa Pro. That is what makes this experience so special because I caught this huge bass in Lake Marion which is a public lake and I caught it on a rod I found ten Yards away from it!
My name is Adam Taylor and I fished for this bass five different times in two days at the diversion canal. I saw many different bass on the bed at many different sizes but I knew this one was the biggest that really caught my eye. I knew he was big but I had no idea that this bass would weigh 10.5 pounds when i weighed him at Canal Lakes. What made this bass and the memory so incredible was that there was a narrow creek ten yards away from where she was bedding at and my cousin Justin Taylor found a Team Daiwa rod and reel with braded line in the water. So after missing her with monofilament I picked up that rod and dropped a pumpkin seed on top of her head and after wrapping up in every bush and weed she could we finally got her in the boat.
