Snow White Labs
Looking to find some breeders in NC near the piedmont preferably that breed these colored labs. I had one for over 12 years and she was a great dog. Would like to get one in her bloodline if at all possible. If anybody has any contacts I appreciate it!!
Been a while since i posted on here but hope all is doing well. Looking forward to seeing some turkey harvest's pics this spring and some good stories as well. Time to get the camera's out now.
Gonna go to the DDC so maybe see some old friends there! God Bless.
Well it's been a while since I posted anything on here so I hope everybody's doing well. Hate we lost a great guy on this site due to cancer but I know he's in Heaven now with his Lord and savior, RIP Creek.
Had a great deer season this past year. Harvested 2 nice bucks. Been doing a little duck hunting with little to no luck. lol. But I'm ready for warmer weather, crappie fishing and can't wait to go out listening for Ol Thunder Throat!! Sure won't be long. Be gone before you know it. Gotta get out and put some cameras out soon and check my inventory!!
Got a couple of wing bones put together and my buddy dipped em in camo!! Check him out on Facebook at Cane Creek Hydrographics. He can do just about anything when it comes to designs!!
I can't wait to use em in the woods next spring!!
Well it was another great season this year again!! I was able to harvest my first gobbler of the season on opening morning. It was a nice 2 year old with a 9 3/4 inch beard, 19 3/4 lbs. and about 3/4 inch spurs!! He came in strutting!
On opening Monday, me and my bro n law went hunting in hope that he could get one. Well after a long morning, a huge gobbler came in to our set up and at 30 yds he smoked him. So after we got his turkey back to the truck, we set out to get my 2 nd one. It was a short wait and I was able to fill my tag with a nice double beard. But the bad part is I blew most of the beards off. But oh well, it was a fun hunt. 11 1/4 inch and a blew into 3 inch beard, 20 1/2 lbs and 1 1/4 inch spurs!
Praise Jesus for another blessed and safe season! Congrats to all who had a good year!!
Well its been a while but I finally got around to posting my 2nd bird up here. Me and my bro n law got lucky the first Monday of the season. He was able to tag this big ol boss gobbler after an hour and a half wait. He came in following a hen. It was a 30 yard shot, and I got it on camera!! Then after we picked up his bird we struck another one about 30 minutes later. It was a quick hunt but a fun one for sure!!
Lukes bird- 22 1/2 lbs, 11 1/2 inch beard, 1 1/4 inch spurs.
My bird- 19 1/2 lbs. Double Beard both shot up. One was 11 1/4 inches and the other one got shot in half, it was only 3 inches left. The spurs were 1 1/8, and 1 3/8 inches.
Man this hunt played out picture perfect! I roosted this bird the day before and slipped in early and set up on him. He gobbled on the roost several times and when he flew down I cut at him, He immediately cut me off with a double gobble. So I figured he was on the way. Well, it took him a lil bit but I finally seen him strutting about 100 yds away. So I clucked a few times and then I heard a hen cluck back. So I got her attention and she came in with him in tow!! It was an awesome morning!!
Its finally Opening Day! Good luck to all and have a safe season!!
Had a good time at the Classic. It was crowded as heck but I was expecting that. Enjoyed meeting NCDC and Viper. Sorry it was short lived. Thanks for the calls GT. They sound like my fifth grade teacher scratching on her chalk board. LMBO!! J/K.
Well duck season was kinda slow this year but I had several good hunts with some great memories. The season started out in October with O'l GT down at High Rock. We could'nt get set up in a good area b/c of low water and crowded areas but we managed to find a couple of dux and we had a fun time.
Got to do a little hunting during the November season but not much do to deer season and the rut LOL.
The weather this year was kinda crazy like last year but we did manage to get a few cold spells, but not many. I was able to harvest a few ducks during our last split and I am very thankful for what I got. Mostly wood ducks and mallards this season for me. My nephew had a good first duck season and was able to harvest 5 great ducks. Needless to say he is hooked, which is a good thing!! Here is the last duck hunt of our 2012-13 season. What a great way to end the season!!
Well its been a while since I posted anything so here goes. A couple of weeks ago I was fortunate enough to take this fine Greenhead on a short duck hunt that I went on. Its hard to beat them ol Greenheads. Im gonna practice mounting him. I've mounted a few and believe me, its a hard thing to master but its fun to do and you can save some money as well. So since all this warm weather we been having has been around I got the urge to go fishing a few times. I've caught 15 bass on three different fishing trips to a couple local lakes I like to fish. I took my buddy Wes the second trip and he caught this nice 3 pounder. Me and Wes went hunting with GT back in October and we had a blast! Literally LOL. The Third fishing trip was this past Sunday evening. I caught this nice 8 lb. 8 oz bass. It was a great fight and a beautiful fish. I released her to fight another day! Praise the lord for a Great start to 2013!!
Well since deer season is coming to an end and the New Year is nipping at our heels I figured I would bring back a few memories of this past bow season. I know these bucks aint monsters to most people but they got me excited and I thank the Lord every day for the trophies he has blessed me with! I harvested my first buck Sept. 10th. It was a 48 yd. shot through both lungs. The second buck was at 32 yds. and it was a heart shot. I watched him fall in sight. They were both 8 pointers. Now its on to Duck hunting as long as the weather cooperates and we get a few to shoot at. Good Luck to all and to all a good night!! LOL.
I went to check my camera yesterday and as I was flipping through the pics of mostly does and raccoons, I come across this crazy groundhog pic of it climbing this little tree. Ive been seeing two groundhogs in this area but heck I didnt know they could climb trees. Wonder what he was doing? Its pretty funny looking really!!
Pic is kinda dark but groundhog is at bottom right
Figured I would post a pic of the whole gang who helped me recover my deer. It was an awesome evening! 9-10-12.
Thank the Lord for a Great hunt this past Monday Evening. This deer was an 8 pt with a 17.5 inch inside spread. I was tickled to say the least!
It seems the site has been kinda slow lately. I guess its because its summer time and everybody is with their familys having fun playing in the water at the beaches and at the lakes. It gets kinda busy this time of year but I know GT, he alwayz has time to post a pic or at least a message about how his day went or a trail cam pic he got of a buck LOL.
Hell Honestly I think if it wasnt for GT, this site would be slow as molasses in winter LOL. BUT, thats just my opinion. I enjoy reading everybodys posts every day whether I got time to reply or not, but it always helps to have a centerpiece if you know what I mean. Hope every body has a great and safe summer. GOD BLESS!!!
GT, Where are you at BRO, LOL. you know what I mean.
I was just wondering what everyones opinion is on the Swhacker broadheads. The videos ive seen of them look like they beat any mechanical broadhead made as far as penetration and stability.
I'm a MUZZY man myself. Ive been shooting the 4 blade 90s for years and love how strong they are and they fly pretty good but the 1 inch cutting diameter is what I would like to change. But no fixed broadhead that I can find worth a Da-- that cuts bigger is worth trading my Muzzys for. Thats why I was considering a Mechanical to get more cutting diameter.
BUT, Im not sure about the 2 blades on the Swhacker. I like at least 3 myself. It just seems it would be better to have 360 degrees of cutting diamiter to me instead of 12 oclock and 6 oclock. And I know with mechanicals you lose penitration too. Any opinions would be great!
Well Ive been wanting to get some of my Trophys together and take a pic of them so I finally did this evening. Ive been feeling bad with a fever so after the fever broke and I got to moving around I said the heck with it and hung a few up for a picture LOL. No monsters by any means but heck Im proud of em. Got a few more small racks and some turkey tails n beards in my hunting shed. Hope yaw enjoy!!
Was able to finally get out on the water and do a little fishing this past Monday with my son Drake and Wife Julie(BTW, I hooked her leg with a crankbait, OOOOPS). We had a good time and caught a few nice bass. The one in the pic is 6lbs 2oz. No monster but fun to fight!
Took my son to our pond the other day to throw the net and catch some little fishies, cause Lord knows thats all he ever talks about is throwing the net so I figured Id better take him before I have a nervous breakdown with him saying quote' Hey Dad, Hey Dad, lets go to the pond and throw the net, Hey Dad, Hey Dad, Hey Dad, Hey Dad.' Allllllllllrighttttt out loud is what I wanted to scream but I kept my composure and just yelled it instead LMBO!
I just hope times like these taking my boy to catch some fish, even if it was in a net, that he will love it as much as I have over the years. I thank my Dad for always having time to take me fishing when I was a little boy.
