  • So I get up this morning at 4:20 to go hunting. I get my shower using my scent away soap. I make a pot of coffee and pack a lunch. I load up in the truck and I head to the hunting land. On my way up there I saw four does and a four point buck on the side of the road and in the fields. So im thinking heck its going to be a good morning. I park the truck I start to layer up and spray down with scent away. I grab my bow and I head to my stand. I get up in it and sit there for six hours. In those six hours I saw about 20 squirrels and a big fat zero deer. To make it even better I checked my deer cam and at 5:50 a nice doe walked though by my stand. I just mised a chance for a deer oh well though. It's just my luck another hunt coming home empty handed. It's all good I enjoy every minute being in the deer stand and hunting. Maybe next time i'll stick a deer.

Every time I put out corn in the woods my trail cam keeps showing me raccoons eating up all my corn. Whats a good way to keep corn out without the coons eating it all?

I wear Under Armor cold weather turtle neck shirts. I own two of them and I love them, they always keep me warm and im able to move around freely. I have also tested them in 10,000 feet mountains of Afgahnistan too. Under Armor might cost a little bit more than other brands but in my opinion it's well worth it.

I have a deer cam out overlooking my corn and from the pictures most the deer came though at night. Also the coons come out and eat up the corn. I had a few deer come though the day time but not very many.

My brother use to have a .243 that he used for deer hunting. What he found was that a smaller grain bullet like 80 didn't have alot of knock down power. So he started useing 100 gr Remington core-lock. The heavier bullet had alot more knock down power and very rarly did a deer run very far. I use 120 gr core-lock with my 30-30 and I love them. Give these a try and see what you think.

I was out hunting with my brother one day. He dropped me off at my stand he went to his stand. I climb up the tree with my climber and raised m gun up to me. My stand was on the side of a ridge line overwatching the top of it. After sitting in the stand for a few hours two does walked across the top. I picked out the biggest one and took the shot. The doe ran off further into the woods. I called up my brother on the walkie talkie and told him I shot a doe and that she ran off. He got out of his stand to come over to mine to help me find the doe. I climb down my stand and me and my brother started following the blood trail. The blood lead us to creek bed that split the ridge line. While walking though the creek bed my brother tells me to stop. He said look on top of the ridge. There on top of the ridge about 50yds away is the biggest buck me and brother has ever seen. He whispers to me to shoot it so I turn slowly and raise my gun. I take aim and squeezed the trigger nothing happen. Then it hit me that I forgot to chamber a new round after shooting the doe. So I jacked a new round into the chamber as I did the buck started blowing at us and it ran off before I could get a shot off. My brother grab me and shook me calling me an idiot and asking why I didn't chamber a new round. He was really mad at me so we went on and found the doe I shot. I still to this day kick myself for not chambering a new round let me tell you though I have never made that mistake again.
