Took part of the family squirrel hunting this saturday what great memories were made. Every father that loves the outdoors and has a young son or daughter should get them busting some bushy tails. My son was the retriever in this hunt and my wife the shooter.

This birds center feather is longer than all the rest. This year has been very hard with spring coming so early. Most of the birds have done there thing and are back together. This bird came by the blind with two others at 4:30.

This is a mount that I made myself. I took the fan of a turkey some feet and some horns off a buck that I shot. I have a full mount so did not need another but wanted some way to keep track of the birds that I killed. I take the shell, spurs and beard and mount them underneathe with leather strips. On the shell I write the date and where killed with a spur above the shell and below and then my beard. Thought that it was a neat way to show my hunting history.

The opening day of dove season I took my two year old son out for a evening on the farm. I can tell that he is going to be hooked on the outdoors just look at his smile.

Thanks for the info on the calcium cheapest I found was 20.00 but 44.00 for 200 lbs is better than 40.00 for 40 lbs. The trukey was killed last year on opening day. I really got lucky on this one. That morning I had gone to set in a blind on a field. When I got there the birds were gobbling on the rust and maybe saw me but the decoys out, but they never came to me. They went across the field to the hens on the other side and then got into a fight with several jakes. The birds all ran off chasing each other to the field behind me, so I got my suff together and made a big loop to get infront of the birds. It was about 2 hours later and the birds had shut-up so I thought that I would walk back to the truck and look in the front field. When I got there two toms were crossing the field about 100 yards infront of me. So I crawled to about 50 yards to the wood line you see in the photo and made my shot. This bird had 1 3/4' spurs biggest if killed. Later on that year I shot at one twice with bow but missed hope to get one this year with a bow.

A comment titled: DI CALCIUM PHOSPHATE in response to a report titled: First picture from my DIY Mineral Site

Can you tell me where I can find di-calcium phosphate. The places that I have called it is 35.00 can not find for close what you paid. I have tried southen states and local feed mills. Also the game wardens that I know told me about this mix several years ago, but have never tried it. Thought I would this year with trying to save money Imperial 30-06 out of budget with two kids now. Thanks for your help!!!
