Wont be long till that magical morning!
Took part of the family squirrel hunting this saturday what great memories were made. Every father that loves the outdoors and has a young son or daughter should get them busting some bushy tails. My son was the retriever in this hunt and my wife the shooter.
This big bass ate a bream that we had caught.
This birds center feather is longer than all the rest. This year has been very hard with spring coming so early. Most of the birds have done there thing and are back together. This bird came by the blind with two others at 4:30.
Three blown up with a bearded hen!!
These birds are in this area every year.. Hope that they are there for my son Saturday.
These red heads have been around for awhile just hope that they are there next saturday. One of them I call the cheif because his center tail feather is longer.
This is a mount that I made myself. I took the fan of a turkey some feet and some horns off a buck that I shot. I have a full mount so did not need another but wanted some way to keep track of the birds that I killed. I take the shell, spurs and beard and mount them underneathe with leather strips. On the shell I write the date and where killed with a spur above the shell and below and then my beard. Thought that it was a neat way to show my hunting history.
The opening day of dove season I took my two year old son out for a evening on the farm. I can tell that he is going to be hooked on the outdoors just look at his smile.
