This is one fat and happy bear! If you look close he actually appears to be a smiling (with his teeth showing)!

December 20, 2008. I actually hadn’t planned to go hunting on this day! It was late in the season and the weather was warm, but my wife had started cleaning house so I figured… I better head for the woods (after all a bad day of hunting beats housework anytime)! After battling mosquitoes for a couple of hours I was starting to think it was just about time to head home when all of the sudden a doe walked in front of my stand. Just as she caught my eye I heard a grunt right behind me. I glanced down and to my surprise this buck was quickly coming up behind her. As he passed my stand I drew back on my Mathews Outback and arrowed this big 7 pointer. That evening he measured 21 ½” outside and 19” inside spread w/ 6 ¼” bases. What a great way to end the season!
