A great day rabbit hunting with friends along the Tar River in Granville Co. resulted in 10 cottontails for the 6 hunters on yesterday's hunt. We hunted with 15 beagles from about 9:00 am until about 4 o'clock on a beautiful farm along the Tar River near Oxford,NC. At the end of the day, the beagles and the hunters were tired and worn out from walking through the pine thickets trying to cut off the speedy cottontails.
This monster hit an eel on the 'down' line while drifting in the Chesapeke Bay. I know this is a Va. picture, but a lot of NC fishermen have been traveling to this monster striper hole for a number of years now. I wish I could say I caught one bigger than this at some time in my life here in NC, but it hasn't happened yet...GoodLuck, Tight lines.
