We are catching some quality fish right now using down rods from 40' to 55' deep. The trolling bite is pretty good right fishing the river channels.

We had a business group fish today. The rain started when we left the dock and was raining when we got back. It's a lot easier to handle the rain when you are catching fish. Still using down rods in that 40-50' of water with blue back heron.

Stripers and hybrids can be caught before daylight and the action is fast.

Stripers and Hybrids can be caught in the creeks on down rods and free lines

A 6lb. lunker is not a bad way to start off the year.

I moved to the Mt Holly area a couple months ago, and I finally have my boat unloaded and ready to fish. Where I lived in Georgia there were a couple of drinking water lakes near me that were stocked with fish, and were restricted to trolling motors only. I dont have the funds to buy a small…

Winter water temps have finally reached 'normal' range for this time of year, mid-to high 40F. Active schools of hybrids are feeding aggressively along the main river channel, with stripers, spotted bass, and large white perch in the same areas. My charters have been producing up to 30 fish…

Another great day on lake James!

Hey everybody. Just started a new boat company called Santee Boats. We started in 2015 in Greenville, SC.

Our goal was to make a sleek and stable skiff with plenty of room to move around, that would be perfect for the local lakes with size limits.

    We currently make a '15'6…

Was doing some crappie fishing on falls Tuesday and was checking sonar as we came under the bridge. I saw the tail of a fish flapping towards the bank and it caught my eye. when the fish got closer to the bank I noticed a copperhead had a channel cat about half a pound maybe 3/4 of a pound in his…

I believe that is a water snake (northern). Do some research and you'll see. Body is too long and narrow and copperheads don't have that many diamond patterns on them or at least not as broken of a pattern.

man with Jacks Guide Service caught two record fish out of lake gaston this year, one was 91 pounds the other was over 100.

I am new to SC and have been on the coast, in the mountains and enjoying the heck out of it.

I will be visiting S.C. in March and would like to know the best places to go shad fishing. Should I bring a boat or are there places that can be fished from the shore. Any and all help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
