  • I am from Weaverville, NC which is in buncombe county. Same county as this buck came from. I hit the woods on the afternoon of Nov. 15 2019 to put fresh batteries in my camera and check the pictures, it has been 5 days since this bruiser I call “the joker” (due to his white face) has shown up…

We have been on this buck for 3 years now in the same cutover in Randolph County. We finally got him this muzzleloading season. We have had him on camera but never seen him in person. He was chasing a doe on a Saturday morning at about 8:30. I did not give him but about 15 seconds before I shot.…

This guy started showing up in early October. Got a couple of pictures of him starting to show up during shooting light on 11/4 so I started hunting the afternoons hard. On 11/8 he came out just before sunset and I was able to get a double lung shot…

My name is Veronica Backlund and I took this deer in Chatham County, NC.
Had him on camera since 2017, when I first posted my 2017 buck 'Stickies McStickerson' on Carolina Sportsman in the Bag-a-Buck contest.
Initially, the deer had a very narrow, tall rack; we let him walk and…

After watching and studying this buck?s pattern for 3 years we finally caught up to him. Having trail cam pics of him in 2016, 2017 , never showed up in 2018 and finally in 2019 him showing up pretty regular. After sitting on this buck for over 31 hours he got it done. With the buck weighing more…

My son got his first deer ever. Unfortunately it was the same deer his mother (my wife) had been hunting for. We went together and he was lined up to shoot a smaller buck when this one stepped out. He made a great shot, dropping him in his tracks. To top it all off, he was using his mom's new…

I had a few night images of this buck in August. I didn’t realize how vibrant his white coat really was until he stepped out of the clear cut on 11/3. I thought it was a ghost at first.

It all started when I check my camera on September 23, 2019. I was looking at my pictures like I always do and then out of nowhere this big boy shows up. I had about 6 pictures of him from all sides. I was in disbelief. I hunted this area hard and would go days and days without even seeing a doe.…

It was a warm afternoon on Oct 27th. I had just returned from vacation around 3pm and at the last minute decided to go hunting. Since I hadn't been hunting the farm for the past week I had hoped the deer wouldn't feel pressured. I got in the stand…

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, that is true. What photos do not tell is the story behind the image. This was not Cutler's first deer, by far his biggest. The conversations we had on stand the afternoon of this hunt about my childhood hunting stories and if the deer were going to…
