Okay, have a question for yah. I cannot find the answer anywhere online at NC WRC website> Can't find it in the hunting rules and regs book either.

    So here goes:

In this case, can a 15 year old who has…

This video was shot in 2009 by my good buddy, Tracy Blake of Ure-a-Duck Decoys. This was the first time my wife had been taped while hunting. Come to think of it the only time she has been filmed hunting. The hunt was not to take place till the Monday after opening day, but as we set up our…

I don't know about anybody else, but the beginning of my turkey season was different like I have never seen it. April along the Roanoke River has never been as quiet, or as cold, as it was the first two weeks of the 2016 Turkey Season. I've heard people say there was no change in the way the…

I killed this bird on April 19th in. 11 inch beard. 1 1/4 Spurs. Weighing around 20lbs. After hearing 4 birds that morning, I started working 3 birds but all of them had hens and wouldn't come. I kept hearing this bird gobble his head off. I knew he was hot. So I got up and started after…

Here is a pic of my daughter (Emma) with her 1st turkey that she shot in Gates County with a 1982 Winchester Greenwing Special 20 gauge that was mine first shotgun. He had a 10 1/4' beard with 1 1/4' Spurs.

5:30 in the evening after hunting all day. 15 Yards, 24 Lbs, 12 In Beard 1 1/2 ' Spurs. He never made a sound coming in.

On April 18 I was able to harvest a nice Tom with a 10 inch beard and a little over 1 inch spurs. I was familiar with this bird because my dad and I got in him Saturday morning. He was very vocal and gobbling like crazy at every crow that 'cawed' that morning. We snuck in the woods and began…

Congrats on a great hunt and a very unique trophy to go with it! Aside from being turkey hunters, you and I have something in common. Believe it or not, the first turkey I ever killed had a triple beard, as well. But that was a looooong time ago. Again, congratulations!

My wife Rhonda has been very, very blessed when it comes to deer hunting...but she's been totally 'snake-bit' as far as turkey hunting is concerned. That's fair enough I guess...it sort of balances out.
