On 06-22-2017 I lost my best friend and life long hunting partner due to cancer (Michael Greg Bailey). It just also happen to be my sons 13th birthday. Before my friend passed away I told him I was in the process of purchasing some good hunting property so we would always have spot to go. Well he never made it to the property so I put him a memorial close to my stand with a Marker stating his name and the words OUR PERMANENT HUNTING GROUNDS. On the afternoon of 11-10-2017 I was hunting the stand when I noticed a huge set of antlers moving through some broom straw away from me and before I could get my rifle up they disappeared into the woods. The next morning 11-11-2017 around 0720hrs that deer stepped out about 10 yards from the Memorial given me a 30 yard shot. He ran a short distance and collapsed. He is by far the biggest deer I've taken and the most special.
