Ive been watch this buck for a year and named hime 'mini me' because of his short stature. He came out around 7:30 opening evening along with three 2 year olds. I got ready for the shot and drew back as soon as he got into my shooting lane. I waited two or three minutes before he turned broadside. Then I let the arrow fly. It hit him but it looked low. I wait a few minutes then got out of my blind and went to the arrow. It looked like great blood but I wasn't too sure so reluctantly I walked out and waited till in the morning. That was a sleepless night.... I went back in around six and got on the blood trail and with in ten minutes I found him fifty yards from where I shot him. He's my biggest to day and my first buck kill with a bow.
