I just purchased about 20 acres of land that backs up to lumber company land in Beaufort County NC. There is 8 acres of woodland and a 10 acre corn field. I will be getting ready to put up tree stands next week. I have 2 boys 13 and 12 who will be helping and hunting with me. My plans are to place three stands backing up to the woods facing the corn field and use them for bow season. I also need to put up a box blind if I decide to rifle hunt. Any of you guys hunt small tracts like this? How is the deer population in Beaufort County? Any help is appreciated.
