  • Upstate National Hunting & Fishing Day at Duke's World of Energy on Sept. 21

    The Seventh Annual National Hunting and Fishing Day, “A Free Outdoor Family Adventure,” will be held at Duke’s World of Energy in Seneca from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 21.
    Participants can learn kayaking, fishing, shooting bows & air rifles, plus fly-tying in addition to many other hands-on activities.
    All activities and gear will be provided completely free, plus free parking. Shuttle service will be provided from the marked parking area off SC Highway 130. Guests can bring their own picnic lunches or purchase food from the on-site vendor.
    National Hunting and Fishing Day is made possible through the various sponsors including: Duke Energy, Upstate Forever, Trout Unlimited, Clemson University Extension Service, the S.C. Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Clemson University 4-H Shooting Sports, South Carolina Wildlife Federation, Harry Hampton Memorial Wildlife Fund, U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation, The Weatherby Foundation, Calm Water Kayak Tours in Ware Shoals, Outdoor Adventures in Clemson, and Academy Sports & Outdoors.
