Finally closed the book on a Deer we called 'Too Tall'. Been hunting this property for the third year this year. First year we got pictures of a nice 9 pt we named 'Too Tall' because his rack went straight up. He disappeared that first year after 2nd week of sept and we never seen him again. The next summer he showed back up and grew into a nice 10pt. He lost alot of length from the previous year. Just like the year before he disappeared middle of Sept. This summer he showed up again and he had lost even more length. I figured he was an old deer but wasn't sure how old. I was able to connect on him opening day and closed the book on Too Tall. My taxidermist estimated that he was 7.5 to 9.5 years old. He ended up scoring 128 1/8 and netting 125 1/8 (unofficially). Couldn't be more excited!
