Opening Day Gobbler

Man this hunt played out picture perfect! I roosted this bird the day before and slipped in early and set up on him. He gobbled on the roost several times and when he flew down I cut at him, He immediately cut me off with a double gobble. So I figured he was on the way. Well, it took him a lil bit but I finally seen him strutting about 100 yds away. So I clucked a few times and then I heard a hen cluck back. So I got her attention and she came in with him in tow!! It was an awesome morning!!

Congrats on puttin' down ol' tom.
I've tried to 'locate' a roosted bird right @ dark (walking around about a 200 acre area) with an owl hoot but I get no response so either I ain't doing it right or there ain't no birds roosting near me right now.
Anyway congrats again on a great bird.

Aww Yea Way To Getur Done Man!! I Can find birds on the roost, too bad it's Only At dark when im walking to truck and they get spooked lol. spooked a tom off roost coming out of the woods at 8:30 pm.
