Well since my Buddy and myself had to do our daily Trap Line check, I suggested we just go early and Duck hunt a few hours before we checked our traps...Action was slow and to be honest we were just acting Silly with Guns propped in corner when I said...Donnie!! Don't move!!!! He said..I see'em!! This pair of Mallards circled the dekes 3 Times getting lower each time and my Buddy said you take the right and I take the left and we counted 1...2...GO!!! and in a instant we grabbed our guns and shot lol and as Luck would have it, The Drake was on the right lol So I have killed 8 Ducks my first duck season and all drakes!!! He said he thought it was me that killed them both but I'm not sure but I defiantly know I got the Mallard drake..I'm glad we decided to take our chances because we think they were getting ready to go...We did see about 9 more but they wouldn't work...Maybe next time.
