  • 'E15' Ethanol Gas Week on Our Website

North Carolina Sportsman readers: All of this week I'll be posting articles on the EPA's recently approved 15% ethanol gasoline which is already showing up at stations in the Midwest. It is likely this new fuel may be in selected stations in the South in 2013.

I've been researching this new fuel ever since the ethanol industry's lobby group 'Growth Energy' petitioned the EPA to increase the ethanol content in motor fuels to 15% in March, 2009.

There are some very serious dangers of E15 that all consumers need to be aware of. It could serious damage or totally ruin marine engines and all off road engines and also damage 2012 and older passenger cars and light trucks along with motorcycles.

If you'd like to know more about this new fuel, please read my website all this week to learn about it's DANGERS so you won't become a victim and cause extensive damage to your engines:

All I know is I have seen more problems with motors from cars to boats to motorcycles since the 10% ethanol came into effect....It may be better for the environment but it needs to go....
'Bowhunter', you're ABSOLUTELY right! This stuff is VERY BAD for all engines. The only reason motorists don't see serious problems with automobiles is because they use their vehicles daily. Most drivers don't even realize they are getting between 8 - 12% LOWER gas mileage from ethanol gas compared to 'real gas'. Ethanol gas have a VERY POOR shelf life. That's why when people take out their lawnmowers and other garden tools in the spring, they won't start! That's the same reason why marine engines have so much problems with 'corn gas' also. BUT, it's going to get MUCH WORSE if this 15% ethanol catches on and displaces 10% ethanol. The ONLY vehicles this stuff can be used in are vehicles that have the 'FLEX' symbol on the back of the vehicle. You and I, the taxpayers paid the auto companies $billions to re-design these vehicles to tolerate this higher content ethanol gas.

Read my article on our website today which I posted on '15% Ethanol Week' and you'll see what I'm talking about.
