I am running for County Commissioner in Stanly County in 2012 and have not had many opportunities to get out with my Z7. On the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 21st I took the time and went to one of my favorite stands overlooking a overgrown field. Shortly after 5:30 several deer passed through, including a beautiful 2 1/2 7 point and a few other 1 1/2 bucks. At 6:10 the 7 point returned and began feeding on browse 10 yards out. He heard movement behind me and decided it was time for him to leave! Shortly after this 205 lb. 8 point, 12 inch G2s stepped out behind a doe and offered a slight quartering to shot at 15 yards. Z7, Mayhem carbon and 100 gr. Muzzy entered behind right shoulder and exited opposite side at last rib. Deer ran about 40 yards before crashing! All in all, a prefect ending to a beautiful day in God's Country! We are BLESSED to live in the USA and particularly North Carolina!
