  • Dove Shoot

Mr. Larry Kirven of Sumter held a couple of dove shoots last Saturday morning. Several of his friends joined in for some shooting at these late season birds, and many found them to be quite challenging. Josh Yates shot two boxes of shells, and was rewarded with two birds--but he wasn't the only one having trouble.

Morgan Watt, however, shot his limit of doves without much trouble. He credited some of his success to using high-brass shells, stating he doesn't trust the cheap stuff this late in the season, when most of these birds have been shot at and educated to keep their distance.

Mr. Larry also shot well, and is looking forward to shooting again this weekend, which will close out the dove hunting for this season.
