Not one but two English Setters paid a visit Airy Hall on the Ashepoo River in the heart of the ACE Basin. With perfect weather and a preserve style of hunt the gunners managed to pick up ten quail and two chukar to fill their game bag. A surprise or two on the hunt included a bird dog tussle with an armadillo, and hawk swooping down on a wounded quail flying off, and a gun jam. The hunting party relaxed for lunch afterwords and reflected on time well spent in the outdoors in pursuit of bob white quail.
