    what do you hunt with ? just seeing whats common and what stretches the envelope.

    This year i just obtained a 223. what do you all think of hunting with it?

    I shoot the Savage 270 WSM bolt action. I shoot 130 grain Silver Ballistic tips because I kept loosing shoulders with the 140 grain accubond.

    The little 8 I shot Saturday at 286 yards was liquified on the inside. I hit him twice because he was still standing.

    Winchester Model 70 in 270 Caliber and i shoot Remington 150 SP Core-lokt and this Combo has never let me down.........Yet

    I use two calibers....still hunting I use .270 WIN. Browning A-Bolt with 140 grain Hornaday BTSP.
    Running dogs in open fields/cut-overs/area I use .308 WIN Browning BAR...150 grain Sierra GameKings...good combos...I've enjoyed the takedown power of both!

    I shoot 50 cal. 245 grain bullet black powder and 12 gauge with 3 inch 000 buck

    As far as the 223 if you get Field and Stream it had an article in it that was pretty good. It was in the November 2010 issue on page 32. Hope this helps a little

    I shoot a Tikka T3 270 WSM and a Browning A bolt 30-06. I shot the Winchester ballistic silver tips for both weapons. The Tikka has a Zeiss scope and is the show stopper when it comes to deer. Ive shot em all the way out to 325yds.

    I use a browning automatic rifle in .300 with a redfield scope and a Winchester model 70 in 30-06 with a nikon scope

    Have a Knight .50 caliber muzzleloader with a bushnel scope

    Just noticed the 223 part in your post...Bought my 9 year Daughter a youth 223 and its a tack Driver but man that little thing is very LOUD.

    i know these are known for their accuracy but do you think they are suitable for shootin deer

    I think it would be...You dont?? The guy i bought it from because his son out-grew it said his son killed 4 deer with it with no problems...Alot of people compare them to a 243 and several people i know use those...I really cant say because i cant talk her into pulling the trigger this year LOL

    yea i have shot a couple does but made sure to shoot them in the head. Its a 223 on an AR platform. BY Smith And wesson. M&P 15. it feels weird to go hunting with a 30 round clip. As for the does neither ran off.

    I shoot a 7mm STW this thing is a beast I have killed up to 400 but it will do alot better than that I can hit a target at 800 but would never shoot at a deer that far.

    I love my 6.5x55 mm Winchester rifle. I love the bullet it shoots. Perfect size. The ammo is just too expensive. I just bought a Browning A-bolt .270 and love it too.
