    ALTHOUGH I HAVE SEEN THEM TWICE OVER THE PAST TEN YEARS IN THE MOUNTAINS,I DON'T BELIEVE THIS IS N.C. LOOKS LIKE TEXAS.

    that buck doesnt look in velvet and those horns are way too dark for this time of year. i agree def not a nc buck...never heard of mountain lions around nc, I did however get stalked by coyotes before while walkin to the truck after a hunt

    i didnt think it was in mcdowell county ,it would be easier to believe if it was a spike. thanks for the input

    This pic is showing up everywhere it’s on south Carolina sportsman web site too and the picture was posted on the web saying it came out of a club called the bay in Columbus county nc also in Texas dang who ever knew that a mountain lion could carry a large buck so far. nc.deerhunter@yahoo.com

    I believe it has been verified as Texas. I saw a clearer pic and it showed a feeder just behind the cat.......I think someone in Tx has verified it as being theirs.
