There are a good number of deer but there are almost as many hunters. I hunted down there religiously about 3 years ago and on the opening day of muzzleloading and could not look in any direction without seeing another hunter within 300 yds. of me. Bow season may be a little better but you also have to contend with people dove hunting on the fields the WRC plants for them. Also during rifle season it is 'introductory season' meaning you can only kill a doe on the last day. There are also a good number of turkeys but I have seen with my own eyes several groups of people set up on the same bird out in a several hundred acre field that borders the bottom of the gameland and divides it and the river. It should also be noted that it is a 3 day per week area.
